4 Stages you’ll encounter during a "No Spend" challenge. | Budgets Are Sexy

You get damn proud of yourself, that’s what! haha… That is, until, you take a break from it and go on a splurging trip ;) Fortunately, that never happened to me, but if i have any more of the days like the one I had yesterday, it becomes a scary possibility.

via www.budgetsaresexy.com

This is a great little bit on the 40 in 40 challenge - basically, can you go 40 days without spending money on anything that you don't HAVE to?

I got here today by reading one of my favorite blogs "Budgets are Sexy." They always do a great job of bringing up ideas on how to help you save money and get out of debt. I think this one may be a GREAT way to help the spenders out there realize that they are really spending on.

Note from the author - be careful to watch yourself (the author slipped up and bought two $0.99 iTunes songs without evening thinking about it until hours later - then realizing the mistake!)

Let me know if you decide to take up the challenge,

Paying to Date, and the IRS. | Budgets Are Sexy

"Oh my gosh this was too funny to pass up. And before you ask – yes, it’s real :) Here’s a clip from the email I got… way to capture my attention SpringWell Financial! (I know, this sounds like a paid advertisement but I assure you it’s not.  This is called clever marketing – you make me laugh and I want to share it with everyone! Haha… take note boring spammers.)"

I LOVE IT!!! Above is an article about a website that connects people for dates and you bid on how much you are willing to pay to date the person on the site.
This article goes into how the IRS *should* check into this new dating site as a stream of revenue! Always getting into our personal business - jeez!

Anyway - what a great topic and a great little piece on the taxable income earned by the person being paid to go on the date.

Toss Your Expectations Into the Ocean | zen habits

"How much of your stress, frustration, disappointment, anger, irritation, pissed-offedness comes from one little thing?"

via zenhabits.net

Check out the article I have linked--To me this article all comes back to my one and favorite saying by the great master Yoda. "Do or do not, there is no try."

This posting discusses how expectations can make or break your day. By simply changing or removing your expectations from your life you can and will, in most cases, be a lot happier. Things just are what they are and if you can accept that, you will be calm and happy and life will be easy going :)

Good morning everyone! I hope this simple article can make at least one day for you more calm! :)

The Simple Dollar » How to Get Rich Quickly!

Here’s how to get rich quickly.

via www.thesimpledollar.com  Click the link to read the original article :)

Getting rich quick; one of my favorite sentences, and so too with the author of TheSimpleDollar. In today's blog the author points out how if you were to save 25% of what you make, you would be able to retire approximately 50 years (yes 50 years!) earlier than if you save only 1% of what you make. That's pretty darn nice if you ask me! He didn't really spell out his math, so any of you financial planners out there, I would love to see some calculations, but what I do love is the idea of it. I have always been told to save 10% of every dollar I make, and have been doing that for years.

How much do you save? What percentage of your income? By when will that help you retire?

Looking forward to your feedback!
Your Tax Goddess.

I started an LLC, now what?‬‏

By Shauna Wekherlien, Tax Goddess

Envision the scene: a business owner comes in to speak to their tax person to ask what they should do about their taxes for their LLC.

Now, you may not know, but LLC's can be taxed in multiple ways and so it is important for you as a business owner not only to know that you are an LLC, but also how you are taxed.

If you have any questions about your situation, I am always willing to answer your questions and help you determine what you are, or if there is a better option for you!

In your service,
