Passion and Taxes?! Really?

You know, the other night I was out for dinner with a couple friends of mine and one of them asked me, so why do you enjoy tax season so much? 

My response? 

Because I get to see all of my clients, I get to see how they've grown over the years, what is happening and new in their lives, see how they are progressing and building their worlds, their families, and their passions.  Besides seeing the growth, I also get to help guide their growth, help them build up even stronger!  It just makes me feel so wonderful!

I have to say, a tax season without the passion of getting to know, and knowing better my clients would be a shame in my book.  I can't say how much I appreciate all of my clients and everything that they bring into my world and that I hope I can bring into theirs :)

RE: H&R Block

OK - This is the best post I've seen in a while, not only are the H&R block people, shall we say, mostly "incorrect" in the bulk of their tax return filings, but now they are drinking on the job!  That makes me even more "Confident" in their skill level! 

Praise H&R block as they give the rest of us (CPA's, etc.) more amendments to handle each year!

This commentary is based on my personal experience, as a CPA, in Arizona dealing with many complications created by H&R Block prepared returns.

Tax Season, Isn't it?

Hi Everyone,

Well, I would have expected Tax season to be hitting hard by now, but it seems as if we are all waiting on the edge of our seats for those lovely tax returns to come piling thru the doors. 

My recommendation to people?  Get it in early!  At this point we are still wide awake and bushy tailed and ready to get things done quick - so if you want that tax refund early (and my clients always get refunds if we can help it!) then come on guys - drop off your stuff!

E-Filing - Ah The Joys!

this article talks about the benefits of E-Filing!  I cannot agree more,...

E-Filing not only gets your $ back faster & more securely into your accounts, it also allows us, as preparers, to determine the exact moment that it was accepted by the IRS, if there were any changes or missing items (for the IRS to process the e-file), or if the IRS has different SSN / Name matching!

It's a great tool and I think all preparers should do it more often! 

Now, if only Arizona would pick up on it!
